I am scheduled to speak to an inquiry board for a friends unemployment appeal. The employer is trying not to pay unemployment benefits based on their reasons for the termination. They say misconduct, but the reasons are really equiptment failure. I work for the same company and have proof that their equiptment is faulty and I have photo copies of my personnel work documents, time card, and other documents that prove a faulty system. My question is, I know my employers have free will, but if they fired me for this act, would it be wrongful termination ?. We are both 20 year plus employees for a nationwide high profile compamy.
