My son's father was sent to prison two years ago for child pornography. He was recently released and we go to court in two days for me to get permanent custody. For some reason they wanted to wait for him to be released to decide on custody. Can he get custody back from me? He plans to use my past against me, to try to regain custody. 10 years ago after my husband died I got really depressed and started smoking weed. CPS got involved and put me through a program, that I completed and my case was closed. Several times throughout the last 10 years I have indulged, but it's not a regular thing. If he brings this up in court will they reconsider me having custody and give it back to him? I can't imagine even unsupervised visits, but this man is crazy enough to harbor the idea that he could get our son back. I'm freaking out.
