Is there any way for grandparents to have visitiation rights in Iowa? I was under the impression that the state had passed a law granting grandparents visitiation rights. I am also upset with the DHS for not investigating futher on a complaint by the school on possible abuse. The actions my grandchild was exhibting according to the medical profesionals meets all the crittera for child abuse(sexual abuse). When my son brought me the paper work form the Washington County DHS it stated in it the complaint was my grandson 4yrs old was masterbating in class. And Washinton County DHS DID Not have the child evaluated, just stated that there was nothing wrong. His mother has numerous complaints against her with founded acctions by preveus DHS in Johnson County including drug abuse. And tell me What do you tell a child  when they ask you what SNIFFING SUGAR is? When they saw their mommy doing it at the table while she was eating breakfast.
