It is the same as any other claim regardless of the amount in controversy.  For example, 6 years for breach of service contract whether the damages are $6.00 or $6,000,000.00. 

Once you figure out what the limitations period is on your specific type of case (contract, tort, etc.) if you are beyond that period you need to look at exceptions in the law that can extend the period.
