My sister purchased a car in her name, and sold it to me; however, the car remained in her name.  The car was paid off in February 2007.  Upon the last payment, I asked her for the title.  She delayed.  I later found out in March 2007 that she went into bankruptcy and took the car into bankruptcy with her.  I need to put the car in my name, as I paid the car off and pay insurance on the car; however, she states that she cannot pass ownership for 4 years.

What can I do to get the car in my name.  Please help, as you can't even trust family.  Thank you.
