child custody
Modified By justforme on 7/10/2007 5:09:59 PM)

I have been a resident of Minnesota for almost 10 months. I resently got a divorice and my husband got custody down in Ohio. I was a resident in Minnesota for more then 90 days when he filed for the divorice. Shouldnt he had to come up here to fight for custody? Is there an attorney you can refere me too?

Re: child custody

It is unclear if your husband filed a custody suit in Ohio or if a Family Law Court in Ohio has already ruled and awarded your husband custody.  If your husband has not yet been awarded custody, then you can file a motion to transfer this custody case from Ohio to Minnesota.  If your husband was awarded custody you will need to set aside or modify that order.

We will contact you with a Minnesota Family Law Attorney shortly.
