my friend was recently charged with possession of meth. he picked up his old high school friend and accidentally ran a red light so the cops pulled him over. the cops searched both him and his passenger and they found meth on his passenger but the cops charged both of them with possession of meth and took them both to jail and towed my friends car. my friend was bailed out 5 days later but his passenger is still in jail. my friend also got his car back. now the only thing he is worried about is the court day for the drug charge. he didnt have any meth on him so is it possible that the charge will be dropped or something? or will he have to spend more time in jail? is there any way he can get rid of the charge without having to go to jail?

please help! anything is good.
