Child Support
Modified By mao on 6/4/2007 9:19:22 AM)

My husband has a child out of the marriage and we are paying child support.  At first this was okay but with the time it has become a pain.  The child's mother has take us to court several times to increase the payments and always got it.  Before was explained to us that the amount was that great because the child was 3 yrs old and the obligation to pay for his daycare and else.  My husband was in the military and the child receives all health and dental coverage from it.  The lawyer before explained to us that this amount could be reduce after the child turned 10 yrs. old according to the NC law place he resides at, he did not need any more daycare service.  But contrary to that it has increase more every year.  Now the mother is taking us to court again because she wants more money.  She is married since 6 yrs. ago.  Is there any way we can get this reduced?  We have two children one is 18 and will start college Aug. 2007 and my daughter is 7yrs. old.  My son is for my previous marriage but he has been always my husbands dependent.  Can we do something about this situation?
