My girlfriend and I are in college at JSU in Mississippi and currently looking for somewhere to stay and found a place. Now we signed a "application" for the place but never a lease agreement. Now the landlord told us that to submit the application we must pay the security deposit first which we did (&375.00). now we were unable to get the first months rent by the time he wanted it so we informed him that we would need our money back but he refused saying that it was on the application we signed which is a lie and even if it was it was an application not the lease agreement. Are we intilted to our money?
