I am seeking legal advice to know if I have a case before contacting a attorney. My family and I live in Virginia Beach and my fiance is currently working in Flordia and 2 weeks ago he was sitting at a light and a car going about 45 miles per hour rammed into him. We only had this car for 1 month and the insurance company is beating around the busch on how they want to deal with this. The car was a 2007 Scion TC with a estimated 12,000 dollars in damage.I asked if they could total it out because most the car is damaged. They told me that they would only give me 18,000 for it which was not what they car was bought for. So they wanted to fix it . So I would be out of a vehicle for 6 weeks in another state. So when it is fixed then I will have to drive 12 hours to pick it up. It's been 2 weeks and we just want our car back. For some reason they talk to us like this is our fault. They also are trying to get out of compensating me for the time I  take off work and the inconvenience this is for our family. By time the car is fixed we will have paid 2 car payments on a car we dont have. Please help us.
