Custody
Modified By Darren on 11/19/2007 5:40:07 PM)

My name is Darren,

I am currently separating from my wife of 10 years. We now live in separate homes. We have a 10 year old daughter and she is currently living with me the father.

My wife wants this to be temporally until she gets a better place of her own, I disagreed. My question is once the divorce goes into full swing what chance does my future ex have when she has a felony assault on a minor on her record. I do not have any record of any kind and when she did this act I encouraged several different treatments for my wife as she was under the influence when this accrued. But she has taken up drinking again and now wants custody of our daughter. Will I have anything to worry about? I know courts tend to place the children with their mother as it seems father have few rights. I have a much better track record showing stability than she does but I would like to know what I would be facing if this things gets ugly.

Thank you for your Time
